CHODESH SIVAN'S CONSCIOUSNESS-EXPANDING TIKKUN OF TRAVEL
CHODESH SIVAN 5784 (June 7 – July 5, 2024)
Chodesh Sivan is the “mazal” of Gemini, the Mutable (changeable or transformative) Air Sign. Air is the quality of Thought, the Tikkun of Sivan is travel. Zevulon, the Tribal Ruler of Sivan/Gemini, embodies the wisdom of this month: Change your location, change your mind AND your “mazal”.
The Planetary Ruler of Sivan/Gemini is Mercury/Kochav. Mercury rules communication: Matan Torah, the holiday of Shavuot commemorating when the Children of Israel received the Torah, usually falls out on the First Quarter Moon of Sivan, when the Sun is in Gemini and the Moon is in Virgo, the two Mercury-ruled constellations. The giving of the Torah was/is the ultimate form of communication!
Just as there was a lot of drama at the original giving of the Torah, ( earthquakes, thunder, lightning, a mountain spewing fiery flames etc.), there’s a lot of celestial drama when we reach Malchut Sh’b’Malchut, the climax of Sefirot HaOmer. Between June 11-13, Venus/Noga sextiles “Wounded Healer” Chiron in Aries, Mars/Ma’adim in Taurus squares Pluto in Aquarius, Mercury in Gemini squares Saturn/Shabbtai in Pisces and sextiles Chiron in Aries , the Sun sextiles Chiron and conjuncts Mercury, all during the First Quarter Moon in Virgo.
Tekufah Tammuz, the Summer Solstice, and the Full Moon in Capricorn on June 20-21 abruptly shift the energy from self-directed changes to changes imposed from conditions outside our control. The Sun in Cancer and Capricorn Moon want internal and external security. The Sun inconjunct to powerful Pluto on Shabbos Behaalotecha may force decisions that defy easy understanding.
Saturn stations Retrograde in Pisces on Shabbos Shelach, and Neptune/Rahav retrogrades July 2, as Mercury enters Leo, and Venus trines Saturn. Chodesh Sivan’s tikkun of travel seeks to open minds via a change in scenery. Don’t lose the wisdom of a changed perspective when external circumstances trigger security-based reactions.
