The Season of Our Joy!Chag HaSukkot Sameach, & A Preview of The Last Half of Chodesh Tishrei 5784
Sukkot- prayer in the Sukkah by Sandrine Kespi
When you're looking at the Full Moon in Aries (opposite the already set Sun in Libra) through the roof of your Sukkah, remember you're seeing the opposite of Pesach, which is the Sun in Aries and full Moon in Libra.
Aries/Libra, Libra/Aries. Mars/Venus, Venus/Mars. These are the two Full Moon Festivals upon which the entirety of the Jewish Year hangs, as our Sage, Ibn Ezra says: the Aries/Libra axis is like the two wreathen chains holding the Choshen Mishpat (the High Priest's breastplate) on the ephod.
Innumerable ancestors whose names we don't even know have gone before us, and G*d willing, innumerable descendants will come after us. We're just a link in the chain holding time/space together.
CHAG SAMEACH my friends, may you rejoice in the time of our happiness, beneath the Clouds of Glory.

The Last Half of Chodesh Tishrei 5784: The Wind-Up, Then The Pitch.
Baseball announcers love to say: “The wind-up, then the pitch.” The first half of Chodesh Tishrei was wind-up. Here comes the pitch during the last half of Chodesh Tishrei 5784.
Friday October 29, 14 Tishrei, Erev Sukkot: Sun in Libra opposite Full Moon in Aries, Mercury at 21 Virgo, the degree it went retrograde on August 24. Yes, the after-effects of Mercury Retrograde are finally over, Baruch HaShem! Venus in Leo squares Retrograde Uranus in Taurus. Prepare for sudden changes and maybe even surprise guests.
Ushpizin of Chesed: Sukkot Day 1 (Shabbos, September 30): Mercury in Virgo trines retrograde Uranus in Taurus. A great day to say what you mean, and mean what you say, in a very measured and precise way. Mars in Libra is inconjunct Uranus in Taurus, with Moon in Taurus. The urge to be "nice" may overwhelm the urge to tell the truth. Maybe there's a way to do both?
Ushpizin of Gevurah: Sukkot Day 2 (Sunday, October 1): Moon and Jupiter in Taurus, together all night. Beautiful and harmonious, and with Taurus' planetary ruler Venus in Leo, plenty romantic as well.
Ushpizin of Tiferet: Sukkot Day 3: Monday, October 2: Mercury in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces. Virgo analyzes and Pisces synthesizes. Mercury reports and Neptune distorts. Don't believe everything you hear on the news. Do you trust your sources?
Ushpizin of Netzach: Sukkot Day 4: Tuesday, October 3: Mercury in Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn. Powerful communication and profound connectivity are on the menu. Venus in Leo inconjunct Neptune in Pisces: conflicting desires may leave you unsatisfied unless you're able to be clear about what you really want. It's hard to tell yourself the truth sometimes.
Ushpizin of Hod: Sukkot Day 5: Wednesday, October 4: Mercury enters Libra. Everything has to be fair, beautiful, and balanced, or else!
Ushpizin of Yesod: Sukkot Day 6: Thursday, October 5: Mercury in Libra inconjunct Saturn in Pisces, Mars in Libra inconjunct Neptune in Pisces. An inconjunct is when two planets are in different modalities and elements, and literally don't understand each other. In this case, what we need is an interpreter.
