The Choshen Mishpat, the breastplate of the High Priest, features precious stones engraved with the names of the 12 sons of Jacob in their birth order.
This is Israel at rest upon the breast of the High Priest. This is the eternal, supernal state of perfect peace, safety, and wholeness which is our Divine heritage as the Children of Israel.
Contrasted in scripture is the arrangement of the 12 Tribes around the Mishkan / Tabernacle.
The Tribe of Levi is removed from the configuration and placed inside the camp, his families facing the four Cardinal directions. The Tribe of Joseph is split into Ephraim and Menashe.
This is Israel in the world, encamped in our power mandala, embodying the terrestrial arrangement of the Tribes below, mirroring the celestial arrangements of their ruling Constellations above.
Our permanent and eternal spiritual position is at rest upon G*'s heart. Our earthly arrangement is configured as an amplifier of the Mishkan's role as a spiritual receiver, drawing down the Divine broadcast.
Friends, today we have no Tabernacle, no Temple, no High Priest. Our devices have disappeared, our Tzadikim are hidden, our great ones have passed away. All things must pass but that which is eternal - the loving-kindness of our Creator.
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Even if she could forget, I will not forget you! Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me. " (Isaiah 49:15-16)
Remember this on Shabbat Zachor this week. We are not forgotten and never will be.
